Ford Ranger - Thailand, June 2011
Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 03:00PM The ROEPHOTO crew travelled to Thailand to make international ads for the new Ford Ranger. Working with Todd Ruthven from Team Detroit and Eileen Lyons-Leagon from JWT, we flew into Bangkok and travelled north into the mountains to shoot. The tagline for the ads was Ranger vs. Worst Roads on Earth so we found ourselves in some of the most remote areas of Thailand. The Ranger proved quite capable and we were able to get some bad ass images of it in rugged conditions.
We experienced parts of Thailand that most tourists never get to see. The shooting took place in some of the most secluded areas of the mountains and jungles of Northern Thailand. Our Thai producer, Boyd, was crucial in helping bridge our language barrier with the locals. From ordering our food to directing the elephants and their handlers.
