Jeep, Southern Coast of Spain - Feb. 2012

The ROEPHOTO team heads to the south of Spain to shoot an international ad campaign for Jeep. We worked with the creative team from Leo Burnett - Alessandro and Carola from Italy, as well as Chris and Stuart, their stateside account team.

Coordinating three languages on our initial conference calls made for an interesting start to the project. However, Alessandro's ability to speak all three of them helped bridge the gap.

After landing in Madrid, then the high-speed train to Malaga, the American, Italian and Spanish teams were full on into the project. The series of ads took us from the mountains of Grenada to the coast of the Mediterranean. The ads combine editorial fashion and the rugged style of Jeep. Images coming soon to the roephoto site.

Carhartt - January 2012

The next page in the Carhartt journey takes ROEPHOTO to Chicago for cold weather and high heights. My client Brian is from Chicago...he has connections to get us into and onto places that someone on the outside could not. We spent four days in freezing conditions in some precarious places, shooting the new cold weather line from Carhartt. New images to the roephoto site soon.

Chevy truck northern California

Making this post from 35,000 ft seat 21 f....no upgrade. Dam. Busy flight, as usual these days. Headed to northern cal to make plates and domes for Chevy Trailblazer International. Looking forward to the locations that Scott fron McCann and the team for Armstrong White chose. Kwiecien and I are landing in SFO and heading up north of the city by a couple hours. Should be cool....more to come.....

Ford Ranger South Africa Shoot 2011

Travelled to Capetown, South Africa to shoot Ranger International ads for JWT. Shooting action images in Atlantis Dunes with creative director Todd Ruthven. Winter in South Africa provided amazing low sun position lighting.

Ford Ranger - Thailand, June 2011

The ROEPHOTO crew travelled to Thailand to make international ads for the new Ford Ranger. Working with Todd Ruthven from Team Detroit and Eileen Lyons-Leagon from JWT, we flew into Bangkok and travelled north into the mountains to shoot. The tagline for the ads was Ranger vs. Worst Roads on Earth so we found ourselves in some of the most remote areas of Thailand. The Ranger proved quite capable and we were able to get some bad ass images of it in rugged conditions.

We experienced parts of Thailand that most tourists never get to see. The shooting took place in some of the most secluded areas of the mountains and jungles of Northern Thailand. Our Thai producer, Boyd, was crucial in helping bridge our language barrier with the locals. From ordering our food to directing the elephants and their handlers.

BMW Shoot, Namibia 2009

Travelled to Namibia to shoot for Automobile Magazine/BMW. The assignment was to document off-road driver training in BMW X5's. We spent eight days travelling off-road across the country. Amazing locations and wildlife. Spent my birthday in a tent in a desert amongst the wildlife. Swam in the Atlantic Ocean with 52 degree water temperatures. Had zebra instead of turkey for Thanksgiving dinner....awesome.
